It’s been a hectic start to the offseason for Virginia Tech basketball coach Mike Young. Over half his team entered the NCAA transfer portal after the season ended last month, leaving many to wonder what was going on in Blacksburg.

The naysayers blamed everything on Young. But, of course, there was always more to the story. The departures were more about NIL and players shopping their services than it was about anything regarding Young….
