Following the US-Iran two-week ceasefire announced on 7 April 2026, Turkish airspace remains fully open and Istanbul Airport continues operating without disruption — just as it has throughout the conflict.

The ceasefire has paused military hostilities and includes Iran’s agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, but most Middle Eastern airspace closures remain in effect and Turkish airlines have not yet announced resumption of suspended routes.
