RIYADH: Jordan aims to expand the Risha gas field and begin green hydrogen production of about 500,000 tonnes by 2035 after approving a 2025–2035 energy strategy.
The 10-year plan, endorsed by the cabinet, will guide sector-wide policies, programs and investments, with a focus on expanding domestic resources, supporting economic competitiveness and building a more flexible and sustainable energy system, according to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, as reported by the Jordan News Agency, or Petra.
